Arica has taken many pictures of my dogs, and they have all come out beautifully.  My newest dog I rescued from a shelter.  Whenever I tried taking a picture, she would either walk away or close her eyes.  I warned Arica that it might be a challenge, but thankfully, I was proved wrong.  Her pictures of my pet came out perfect...as usual!  I love Pet'ographique!!!     - Melissa Palcic

Where to begin?  Words just cannot express our emotions and gratitude we have for Arica's talent.  We admired her work she had done for friends, but even more so once we had our own photo session.  We found out suddenly our good ole chocolate lab was terminally ill and we needed photos taken quickly.  Of course, we were not sure of timing and this guy was our first family dog, same age as our oldest boy…12 years old...and really not acting sick at all!  Murphy was one of the boys for sure.  Little did we know that he'd leave us just 4 days following our portrait session.  One wouldn't be able tell by looking at the amazing shots Arica captured…they are priceless!  Murphy was a true sport and Arica is patient and truly gifted when it comes to capturing their best look.  We've had some time to heal after our huge loss.  Our three boys are often caught just flipping through the pages of the album…looking back on such memories.  We think of our Murphy boy every day and are more than thankful we were able to get the photos we did…they certainly keep his presence close!     - The Munn Family

A friend gave me a gift card to Pet'ographique and I thought it was kind of a silly thing to do, getting your pets portraits taken.  I thought my friend bought me a gift card for place that does santa pictures with your dog and they would print my favorite pose that same day and I would carry a wallet size portrait around of my pets and my friends would make fun of me for being a crazy animal lover.  Well was I wrong!  I had no idea what I was getting into! I walked in to this beautiful store and spent almost an hour in a real photo shoot!  I was so amazed with the final images that I bought a 25 image coffee table album that I take everywhere with me and I've shown my beautiful super models Chloe & Wicket to at least 100 people!  I was so excited about the portraits that 2 weeks later I brought my other cat, Abraham, in for his own photo shoot!  Now I can't stop talking about Pet'ographique to everyone I meet!  And to think, I thought my babies were going to be sitting on Santas lap for a quick snap shot!     - Rebecca Sinai

Every year we attempt a family portrait around the Holidays.  We all know it's going to be a big disaster.  We spend a lot of enjoyable time together, but family portraits bring out the worst in us.  The 6 of us regularly have dinner together every Wednesday and every year after family portraits, Wednesday night dinners are cancelled for 2 weeks because we all can't stand to be around each other!  We decided to try Pet'ographique because we wanted to include our puppy in the portraits for a change.  I can't say enough great things about our experience at Pet'ographique.  Arica was so patient and laid back and my entire family was so relaxed and we actually had fun during the portrait session!  We left the studio TOGETHER - usually it's expected that everyone slowly leaves as soon as they are not needed in any more portraits, but we all stayed and waited for each other and even went out to dinner as a family that evening!  I can't thank Arica enough for making our family portrait experience not just a portrait session, but an enjoyable evening that my family spent together.     - George & Kathy Pongracz  

   

 

Having taken my 9 year old and a 7 year old with me to the NSPCA Family, Fur & Fun Festival earlier this month, when I wanted to get our puppy's photo taken, both kids said Mommy was crazy - NO WAY was Comet going to sit for a photo - the kids wouldn't even sit for one!  Something about the photographer grabbed my attention and when I saw the background colors, I KNEW it was worth a try. Needless to say, my blood pressure was rising as the kids were wanting to leave, the dog wanted to be anywhere but on some photo shoot.  It was our turn - oh please let this happen...and then the clouds parted....Arica performed doggie magic and BAM the photo was done...kids were released...dog was released.  A couple weeks later, after I forgot about it, we received the photo in the mail.  Arica is the most amazing photographer!  The photo is GORGEOUS.  It took less than 3 minutes for pure perfection.  I can only imagine what a family studio portrait session would be like.  Thank you so much.  Next time it's the kids that are going to be photographed...you rock!     - Shannon MacCachren

Nervous doesn't even begin to describe how I felt about getting our "family" pictures done! With two Siamese cats, one very energetic black Lab, two young children, and a husband that wasn't thrilled about the whole process, I thought I was in for a nightmare! However, Arica turned that nightmare into photographs that were better than my wildest dreams! I was worried for nothing. From our first phone conversation to the final pick up of our amazing pictures, Arica was there every step of the way to answer my questions (of which there were many!), put up with my constantly changing order, and provide the patience that my family and I needed for success! My children have grown up with our beloved cats, Taz and Jaz and our amazing dog, Jet, and it was so important for me to capture the love among all of them. I know they won't be around much longer and Arica has given us a lasting memory that we will treasure forever! Arica has taken many pictures of my husband, my poodle Sassy-Belle and myself over the years.  Sassy started to look as if she were failing a few years ago and I started having "goodbye" pictures taken.  Sassy always recovered and bounced back after each portrait session.  Having the portraits of Sassy from 2008, 2009 & 2010 means a great deal to us.  Arica's professionalism and relaxed manner while taking the portraits helped all of us to relax. Sadly just after Sassy turned seventeen years of age, I decided that her quality of life had declined so much that she was no longer living the good life.  In 2011 Arica offered to take our last pictures of Sassy and myself.  My family and I will be forever grateful to have had such positive experiences with Arica & Pet'ographique.  Thank you again. - Kathy Crawford

When you deal with Arica at Petographique, you are dealing with a top level professional.  As I drove down the I-215 to her sudio, I was more than a little skeptical of how anyone could keep Gracie (an 80 lb. Greyhound/Pit Bull mix) and Roxy (an 8 lb. "Heinz 57") still, much less get a picture that wasn't blurred.  They're good dogs, but get very "excited" on road trips!  Needless to say, the proof is in the result.  I was stunned by the quality of the photos.  Arica was totally professional and the Mini Session only took about 15 minutes.  The follow-up was again - professional and high quality.  Arica never attempted (or needed) to try to "sell" us anything.  Rather, her work did all the talking.  We received our pictures and cards in a beautifully presented package, and all materials used were of very high quality.  We have received nothing but rave reviews from friends and family on the pictures.  If you truly love your pets and want the best keepsake of them ever, you are missing out if you do not take them to Petographique for a photo shoot.  - Charles Fischer

Arica, when I decided to get pictures taken with my exotic Savannah cats, I really had no idea how they would come out.  And when the session started, I was even more unsure.  My boistrous boys knocked the backdrop over twice and since they are very large cats, they are a bit difficult to control, and I was afraid that nothing would turn out right.  Imagine my surprise when we came to view the proofs and it looked like my "Living Room Leopards" were professional models!  My daughter and I were amazed.  Thanks for giving me these beautiful memories and thanks for making this 70 year old look so young!   - Linda Caterine (Vegas Savannahs)

 

 

I was nervous before our session because two of our three pugs are 15 years old and I was afraid Arica wasn't going to be able to get them to sit to have their pictures taken. There are photographers, and then there's Arica.  She must truly have some mystical power over animals!  She's amazing!  I took my 2 rescued dogs (my "kids"), sweet Kasey a 13 year-old Golden; and my problem child Dodger, a 7 year-old Toller mix to Arica for a photo shoot.  I knew Kasey would be fine, she loves everyone and everything but Dodger was my concern.  He hates having his picture taken and looks away or leaves when I pull the camera out.  My main concern however was that he has fear issues and can be unpredictable with strangers.  He was fearful at first but soon was trotting around the studio checking things out, and to my great surprise I turned to see him giving Arica kisses!  I was stunned!  She captured so many great shots, it was difficult to decide which ones NOT to keep.  I nearly lost my Kasey in early 2011 due to a medical issue so I'm pleased to have such wonderful photos of her.  Thank you SO much Arica; now I'll have these two precious kids with me forever!   -   Kimm Bonecutter, Kasey and Dodger
